Is the app free to download?
Yes. The SmartGrade APK is free for all registered schools. You only pay for SMS credits (KES 1 per SMS) and the regular school subscription.
Do I need a separate account for the app?
No. Use your existing SmartGrade username and password. Your school data, learners, exams and credits are all shared between the web and app.
Can I enter marks from the app?
Yes. Teachers can enter and update marks for their assigned subjects directly from the app, the same as on the web.
Is my school data safe on the phone?
Yes. The app connects to the same secure SmartGrade server. No sensitive data is stored permanently on your device.
Why is it not on Google Play?
The APK is distributed directly to keep it free and fast to update for Kenyan schools. Install takes under a minute.
